Privacy.
What we hold, and who sees it.
The short version
- We keep your name, phone and payment screenshot so we can confirm your booking and keep proper records of our income.
- Those details reach three inboxes and no further. We do not sell them or hand them to advertisers.
- Count Me In and Sync Studio never upload your music. It is processed on your own device.
What we collect
When you book or pay. On the checkout page we ask for your name and phone number, and your email address if you want to give it — email is optional. When you tell us you have paid, we store the screenshot you upload, along with the payment reference shown on it, what you booked, the amount, the date and time, and a receipt reference such as IMAP-XXXXXX.
When you browse the site. We use Google Analytics to understand which classes people look at and where they stop. It records pages visited, which cards and links were tapped, and how far through checkout a visit got. Your IP address is anonymised, and we have switched off Google Signals and ad personalisation — this data is used to improve the site, never to advertise to you.
When you message us. Enquiries come to us through WhatsApp, so whatever you send sits in WhatsApp along with your phone number and display name.
What never leaves your device
Some things stay on your phone or computer and are never sent to us:
- Your cart, which is held in your browser until you check out or clear it.
- Count Me In and Sync Studio do all their work in your browser. The music you drop in is never uploaded. Count Me In remembers your last session in your browser’s own storage so you can pick it up again — clearing your browser data for this site removes it.
Who can see your details
Booking and payment details are emailed to exactly three addresses, and stored in a Google Sheet and Google Drive folder on iMAP’s own Google account:
Nobody else at iMAP receives them. We do not sell your information, share it with advertisers, or pass it to anyone else except where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Payment screenshots and the matching booking records are kept as proof of income for our accounts and tax filings, and are held for as long as we are required to keep those records. Enquiries and messages are kept only as long as they are useful for helping you.
Photographs and video
We photograph and film our classes, workshops and shows, including the Annual Jam. Those images are used on this website, on our Instagram, and in material about iMAP. If a photograph of you or your child is on this site and you would rather it were not, tell us and we will take it down — you do not need to give a reason.
Children
Our Kids and Juniors batches are for young dancers, and we deal with a parent or guardian rather than the child. Bookings, payments and communication are with the adult, and the same applies to photographs: if you are a parent or guardian and want an image of your child removed, tell us and we will remove it.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct something that is wrong, or ask us to delete it. We will delete what we are not required to keep for our accounts and tax records, and we will tell you plainly if something has to stay.
